LOW WRAY CAMPSITE
The Low Wray site is a large spectacularly located campsite on the quiet western shore of Windermere, it provides a quite retreat for families, friends and couples alike. A beautiful site with stunning 360 degree views from the door of your Yurt.
Long Valley Yurts Low Wray site is situated within the National Trust Campsite at Low Wray on Windermere. Close to Ambleside, Hawkshead and Windermere on what is often referred to as the quiet side of the England’s largest lake. The site offers the perfect base for an array of activities and excursions. Whether it’s canoeing on the lake, mountain biking at Grizedale, gentle lakeside walks, picnicking on the lakeshore or just sitting back at the site relaxing there is something for everyone.
Also available are an array of outdoor activities both from the site or short drive away. Why not try moonlit canoeing, stand up paddle boarding or make a full day of it for a peddle and paddle adventure? Also available to book with your stay are all manner of Bushcraft experiences as well as some more traditional outdoor activities such as gorge scrambling and rock climbing. We offer six Yurts at the Low Wray site. Three 18ft Yurts on the beautiful Ransomes on the shores of Windermere accommodating up to six persons each. We also have a further three 18ft Yurts on the more secluded Whitworths Meadow also accommodating up to 6 persons each.
