Just 25 minutes from Bowness and a stone’s throw from a dip in Windermere at Newby Bridge it’s an idyllic, secluded location with a real away from it all feel. With stunning views, on site farm shop and the fantastic Derby Arms a short walk away, you will struggle to find a more perfect location for your holiday.

The site offers the perfect base for an array of activities and excursions. Whether it’s an activity in or around Windermere, following the sculpture trail at Grizedale, swimming at Fell Foot Park, a gentle walk up the glorious Whitbarrow Scar or just sitting back at the site relaxing, there is something here for everyone.

Ambleside, Hawkshead, Grasmere and Coniston are a short drive away. In between are an array of hidden places to explore, sites to visit, places to picnic and wild swim. Whatever your fancy there’s something on offer for everyone. Back at the Yurt after a day out sit back, relax and enjoy the crackle of logs and the warmth of the wood burning stove, roast marsh mellows over the open fire and reconnect with the things that are important in your life.

Also available a short drive away are an array of outdoor activities, bushcraft & survival experiences. Why not try canoeing, stand up paddle boarding or make a full day of it for a peddle and paddle adventure?
